The aim of GDPR is to improve your privacy and give you greater control over your personal information and how it is used. GDPR will benefit all of us, it will ensure that our Personal Information is protected from misuse. As a Data Controller, Raheny GAA Club will be accountable for how it collects, uses and stores information about its members.
The Legislation allows for Raheny GAA to collect personal information relating to Members, such as Names, Addresses, Dates of Birth, email and telephone numbers for the purposes of administering the club (e.g. registering players, arranging meetings) or other specific purposes with the permission of the individual.
An exercise is being undertaken to ensure that the club will be fully compliant with GDPR. The personal information relating to members will be kept safe and secure. In addition, Data will only be held only whilst there is a continued need for it. Data will be reviewed and destroyed regularly.
In order to allow the club to continue to communicate with you about club information, club newsletter, details of social and fundraising events etc, we need you to “opt in” to continue to receive communications from the Club. If you fail to “Opt In”, the club will be no longer to able to communicate with you.
